All of our rooms are well appointed and spacious. The three ground floor rooms (Lingmell, Mickleden and Lowthwaite) provide easier access for the less able, and every single room provides a comfortable retreat after a day out and about exploring the stunning scenery of the Lake District. Each room has been individually styled with fully co-ordinated soft furnishings and ensuite bathrooms, some with luxury spa baths. Crisp white linen and snug quilts adorn all beds, while cosy toweling bathrobes are available throughout your stay.

We are also able to offer The Retreat, a luxury suite with its own private patio area, where you can while away warm summer evenings. The Retreat is finished to the very highest specification and offers levels of privacy not normally associated with Lake District guesthouses.

Our aim is to be able to offer our guests the very best levels of comfort and accommodation and so the Howbeck is always receiving loving attention, ensuring we maintain its perfect condition. The ongoing restyling of the bedrooms does mean that the photos may be a little behind, so don't be surprised if, on your next visit to our lovely guesthouse, your room looks different to when you last visited the Lake District. The rooms just keep on getting better!
