If you’re looking for things to do in the Lake District this September, AmbleFest is returning to Ambleside for a three-day celebration of craft beer, live music and street food.
Taking place from Friday 25 to Sunday 27 September 2026, this year’s festival marks the fifth anniversary of AmbleFest, bringing another packed weekend of food, drink and entertainment to the heart of Ambleside.
What is AmbleFest?
AmbleFest is an annual beer and music festival held in Ambleside in the Lake District.
The festival takes place across three popular Ambleside venues, The Flying Fleece, Tap Yard and The Apple Pie, all within the centre of the town around the iconic Bridge House.
Throughout the weekend, visitors will be able to sample an impressive selection of craft beers, ciders and cask ales from more than 40 breweries, alongside a programme of live bands and DJs.
And it isn’t all about the beer. There will be plenty of street food available too, with everything from wood-fired pizza and gourmet burgers to fish and chips, hot dogs and wraps expected across the weekend.
Live Music Throughout the Weekend
Music is a big part of the AmbleFest atmosphere, with live entertainment taking place throughout the three-day festival.
For its fifth anniversary, AmbleFest is bringing together local musicians, returning favourites, bands and DJs for a weekend of live performances in the centre of Ambleside.
Sunday brings something a little different too, with the festival rounding off its anniversary celebrations with a dedicated Sunday Country Day featuring country music and dancing.
