Join the Lakeland Historic Car Club
If you have a passion for classic cars or simply enjoy admiring beautifully preserved vehicles, the Lakeland Historic Car Club (LHCC) is worth exploring. Established in 1981, this friendly community celebrates historic vehicles over 25 years old, bringing together enthusiasts from Cumbria, North Lancashire, and Yorkshire.
With around 60 events each year—including scenic drives, museum visits, and social gatherings—there’s always something happening. One highlight is the monthly meet-up at the Lakeland Motor Museum, held on the first Saturday of each month from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm. Everyone is welcome, whether you’re a classic car owner or just appreciate timeless automotive design.
Membership is open to all, even if you don’t currently own a classic car. Annual fees are £25 for adults and just £10 for those aged 18–29, making it an accessible way to join a vibrant community of vintage vehicle lovers
